FAQs
What is meant by hair type?
With hair type we do not mean the current length of the dogs hair but the type of hair the breed of the dog has.
Short Hair Examples: Labrador Retriever, Beagle, Viszla, etc.
Long Hair Examples: Poodles, Border Collie, Golden Retriever, Corgi, etc.
Can I wait with my dog? Do I have to wait?
Every dog owner is more than welcomed to wait while your dog is being pampered. We have a comfortable seating area and some good coffee. Though it is not obligatory to wait. You can of course leave and we'll call you to let you know before your dog is finished with its spa service.
At what age does usually a dogs grooming experience begin?
We recommend that the grooming life of your puppy starts at about 3 months of age.
For your puppy to get to know and used to its future grooming experiences we suggest our Puppy Service.
Checklist Before Your Dog’s SPA Appointment
To make the SPA visit smooth and enjoyable for both your dog and our team, please check the following before arriving:
• Take your dog for a walk – whether short or long, a little exercise helps your dog relax.
• Make sure your dog is well-hydrated – water before the appointment is important.
• Bring a leash and collar or harness – for your dog’s safety before and after the appointment.
• If your dog has allergies, bring their favorite treats – especially important if they have dietary restrictions.
• Think about the haircut you want – ideally bring a photo for reference if you have a specific style in mind.
After Your Dog’s SPA Appointment
Your pup just had a relaxing time with us! To keep them comfortable and maintain their fresh new look, here are a few things to keep in mind:
• Give your dog some quiet time – they may be a bit tired after all the attention and handling.
• Offer water– but don’t worry if they’re not thirsty right away.
• Brush regularly – especially if your dog had a deshedding or longer haircut, regular brushing helps maintain the results.
• Book your next appointment – regular visits keep your dog happy, clean, and looking their best.
